I have a Sony Vaio FW with a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series and compiz works with the fglrx driver.. but it doesn&#8217;t work very well. It lags when minimizing/maximizing windows and it also lags on a window resize. The Solution?<br />
<a href="https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat">Ubuntu-X Swat</a> team PPA! They have a PPA called <a href="https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/xserver-no-backfill">XServer with no backfill functionality</a>. This is all you need! Added the repositories to /etc/apt/sources.list update, upgrade and your&#8217;re done!</p>
