About Me
My name is Paulo Cabido and you my also know me as kopus or pcabido.
I’m a computer science student (MSc) at University of Évora, Portugal.
I work part-time at CGE (Centro de Geofísica de Évora) R&D center of University of Évora. I administer the servers, including a cluster, and give IT support to the center and all the members.
I’m also a collaborator at CITI – R&D center of University of Évora. In the last year, through CITI, I have taught a Linux course to IT Professors and developed (solo) an application that manages packages and introduces a new concept, kits, for debian based systems called kits Alinex.
I love Évora! I live here (at Évora) since 1990.
As a university student I’m a active member in various university student bodies. I’m a member of NEEI (Núcleo de Estudantes de Engenharia Informática da Universidade de Évora), Conselho de Notáveis da Univerisdade de Évora, AAUÉ (Associação Académica da Universidade de Évora) and currently I’m on a two year mandate in the Senado Académico da Universidade de Évora.
Not all about me is computers. I’m a football (soccer) fan and a HUGE S.L. Benfica supporter!
I enjoy seeing movies/tv series (sci-fi, action mostly). Musically I like chill-out, dance/disco and rock. I also like Fado that is a Portuguese music genre.
